RODEO RIDER asked: My car warranty for my 1996 GMC Jimmy will be expiring soon.now is it possible for me to get an extended warranty with the same company? or do I have to look else where? and if so is it very expensive?

There are extended warranties available, but they are usually worded as to not cover the most common break downs. Jimmys do tend to go through a lot of front end parts, make sure those are covered if you do get a warranty.

Yes. They’ll just cost more. It’s unlikely any would cover a 12 yo gmc though.

There are services for that, last time I was offered one I felt that it cost too much.
I had to have 200 dollars work done on it after the original warranty expired (in the additional 5 years 60 K miles). So I was right.
That was for a Ford, but you own a Jimmy. So run right down to the GMC dealer and buy it. For you it will prove to be a good deal.
