My car warranty for my 1996 GMC Jimmy will be expiring soon.now is it possible for me to get an extended warranty with the same company? or do I have to look else where? and if so is it very expensive?

  1. TL Says:

There are extended warranties available, but they are usually worded as to not cover the most common break downs. Jimmys do tend to go through a lot of front end parts, make sure those are covered if you do get a warranty.

Yes. They’ll just cost more. It’s unlikely any would cover a 12 yo gmc though.

There are services for that, last time I was offered one I felt that it cost too much.
I had to have 200 dollars work done on it after the original warranty expired (in the additional 5 years 60 K miles). So I was right.
That was for a Ford, but you own a Jimmy. So run right down to the GMC dealer and buy it. For you it will prove to be a good deal.
